HISTORY • Behringer Band (1980 -1982)

Jimi formed the The Behringer Band in 1980 with Tom Garven, Randy Zinns, Sherry Carr, Robyn Lee, and Jim Meland. Tom and Jimi played in a band throughout elementary school and were friends.  The band worked local clubs and college campus tours and soon began playing seven nights a week.

This band became known for doing many dangerous stage routines and antics to draw in crowds. There were always injuries as lead singer Tom Garvin would routienly carry Jimi off on his sholders, sometimes nearly knocking him unconsious.

The band was raw with lots of energy and extended solos.

The band disbanded in 1982"
