"After working with Steve on four world tours with the Kitaro Band, I received a call from him to fly to San Francisco and play on his new record “Across A Rainbow Sea” on Global Pacific Records. Steven was an incredible musician and had worked with two of my all time favorite guitar players John McLaughlin and Jeff Beck.
Steve and I were the main soloists in Kitaro’s Band and had become good friends. During sound checks we would get into little jam sessions, playing funky grooves that would immediately gather small audiences. At the end of the tours Steve began production of his album and brought in Casey Scheuerell and me to join him
Working with Kitaro was a bitch he had to have everything absolutely perfect but Kindler would always prod me into playing a Hendrix type whammy bar excursion during the set. Not wanting to get in trouble but also wanting to make the band happy I did it anyway"
